Fight Against Malaria at Kongowea Zone 2013
Adan- Fight to eradicate Malaria in Africa; a programme in partnership with the Public Health and Population services International (PSI) Mombasa County Chapters. The project done at KONGOWEA ZONE has saved as many as 4,000 lives.
The programme aims to equip local communities with the knowledge of how to prevent the spread of Malaria – through use of nets, destruction of breeding areas and how to seek treatment in case of an infection. As a result, the community has witnessed reduced Mortality rates and prevalence of the disease has decreased beyond the programme’s initial expectations.

The aim of the project is to prevent or add up preventive campaign that are already in place and reduce mortality from children under 5 years and pregnant mothers who are at risks from complication of Malaria.
